Like a young Mozart, the white-crowned sparrow is a bit of a musical prodigy. They often have began developing their song by the ripe age of 2, and do so strictly “by ear,” picking up songs from the area in which they are young. Because of this, white-crowned sparrows found in different regions may have slightly different songs/dialects.
They enjoy feeding on fruits and seeds, as well as cracked corn and small peanut bites.
